The Flameworks Story
Established in 2000 by former Plymouth College of Art staff and students, Flameworks Creative Arts Facility is one of the largest managed workspaces in Devon and Cornwall.
Flameworks is a Community Interest Company managed by a board of directors and volunteers. Its heart is in a large industrial unit with waterfront views in Devonport, Plymouth.
We host a community of professional artists ranging from painters and illustrators to blacksmiths and sculptors. The facility provides them and Associates with communal facilities that allow them to continue and develop their professional practice. We also well as offer the community courses in ceramics and blacksmithing.
We host an array of events, exhibitions and courses every year, including 4 quarterly Open Days, which allow members of the public to come in and have a go at some of the beautiful and unique activities we offer.
