“My ceramic work is an antidote to the time I have spent working in CAD with a computer as a product designer.
I'm experimenting with ways of making that incorporate or deliberately manifest faults, breakages and random material qualities in the investigation of a visual language. I’m looking for an experience which can be both visceral and contemplative.
I've also been busy with tableware commissions which are slightly different to my other work and deliberately incorporate ways of making and marks that denote them not to be mass produced.”
